Information About Kevin - Bray tutor

Personal Description:

I am an artist producing melodic house music under the name of ‘’, and I am teaching private music production classes. I teach using Ableton Live, and my class is about the songwriting process, from sound design to arrangement and distribution. The class is perfect for anyone who has always wanted to make music, but doesn’t really know where to begin. My goal is to get students to a place where they feel comfortable releasing their music to the world!

I have 2 years experience actively releasing my own music, but have been involved in music for my whole life. This year I signed with Bonfire Records and Neele records. I've played guitar for 15 years, and often use live guitar in my music.

Currently, I am based in Dalkey, and lessons would be at my home studio. Students can get a free trial of Ableton Live for 90 days, so all they need is a computer and a decent pair of headphones. No instrument required, but basic understanding of music theory would help.

I am new to teaching, but I am eager to share with you what would have made my music production journey far shorter and less painful!

Approach to Grinds:

My classes are a collection of what I have gathered in my years spent producing music. It's really difficult to find high quality classes online, without paying an arm and a leg. I have condensed what I have learned into what I consider the 4 stages of music production - 1.) Sound Design, 2.) Songwriting and Arrangement, 3.) Mixing and Mastering, 4.) Distribution. Another important part of music production is the creative process, and how difficult it actually is to stay committed to any creative endeavour. This is why so many people give up learning a new instrument after just a few months, despite initially showing great interest. An important part of my approach is overcoming these hurdles to learning, so you can truly access your inner creativity.
