Personal Description:
I have recently graduated from MIC in Limerick with a BA in Music and Geography. I will be furthing my education come autumn 2022 by studing a masters of eduction in Music in the Univeresity of Limerick. I have a passion for music and geography, and have been teaching the piano for over nine years.
Tutoring Experience:
During my four year degree I spent a year of that on placement. I spent part of my time in a secondary school working with both the music and geography departments. I have also completed an online teaching leaving cert music course that was run by the RIAM (royal irish academy of Music).
Approach to Grinds:
Firstly, in a one to one grind we highlight the problem areas and work on understanding the concepts. There are certain areas that area imperative to both leaving and Junior cycles and must be fully comprehend in order to obatin optium marks for the examination. Each student is different and will all require different needs. It is important to listen and test the student to understand whether the topic has been understood.
