Personal Description:

I am a qualified post-primary teacher of Irish, French and Spanish, currently working in a Gaelcholáiste in Dublin.
I have a Professional Masters in Education from Trinity College Dublin as well as a degree in Applied Languages from the University of Limerick specialising in Irish, French and Spanish.

I'm a fluent Irish speaker having attended Coláiste na Rinne in Waterford as well as a Gaelcholáiste for secondary education. In addition to Irish and English, I speak French and Spanish.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a qualified post-primary teacher and have 6 years experience in teaching in Ireland.
I am currently teaching Irish and French in a post-primary Gaelcholáiste in Dublin.
State examiner for Leaving Cert. orals (French) in 2021, 2022 and 2023, therefore I have excellent knowledge of the oral exams. From 2019-2020 I taught French Language and Culture Undergraduate modules in Trinity College Dublin.

Approach to Grinds:

I believe it is important to cater for each student's individual needs. In the first class we will discuss how the student is getting on in that subject and create a plan to help improve their confidence and results in the subject. I am enthusiastic about languages and I try to make all my classes fun and engaging for students.

I help students to improve their communication skills, exam techniques and academic results. I can prepare specific work to cover with students but I am also happy to cover any exam material or specific topics students wish to learn about or revise.
