Information About Karen - Rathcoole tutor

Personal Description:

I am a German native speaker, having grown up near the city of Hanover (area where we speak Hochdeutsch - German without regional accent). I studied English in college and moved to Ireland once I finished my degree. While working, I learned Irish and studied the Master of education for primary school teaching. I now work as a teacher in a Dublin primary school.

Tutoring Experience:

I have both theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience in teaching, both primary and secondary. For the past two years I have given German grinds to a secondary school student in the junior cycle (oral & written language, incl. correction of written texts etc.) with very positive results.

Approach to Grinds:

I am passionate about learning languages and love to bring this across to those learning German. I prepare each lesson with the student‘s interests and individual goals in mind. I have access to multiple different teaching resources and try to use appropriate materials from German media to keep it real.
