Information About Jason - Dundalk tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Jason.

I am a student teacher, after leaving the pharmaceutical industry after 7 years to pursue my dream of teaching.

I am located in Dundalk and willing to travel for grinds.

I charge €40 an hour and my subjects are Leaving Cert Biology and Chemistry, and Junior Cycle Science.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a student teacher which includes working in school teaching students from all year groups in Science, Biology and Chemistry.

I also have experience in delivering 1:1 grinds.

Approach to Grinds:

As every student is different, I will work with each student to provide a tailored approach to grinds ensuring that the pace, style, and focus of the lessons suit them best.

In general though, I use a combination of clear, structured resources to present key concepts in science, biology, and chemistry, followed by practical application through exam paper questions. This allows students to develop a deep understanding of the subject matter while also familiarising themselves with what is expected in the exams.

By guiding students through the marking schemes, I help them recognise patterns, understand how to structure their answers, and gain insight into how marks are allocated. This ensures they not only grasp the material but also develop the skills needed to succeed in their exams.
