Personal Description:
I'm a passionate, creative individual and graduate of the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. BA Joint Hons in Fine Art Painting & Education. Practising artist and qualified teacher registered with the Teaching Council.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught Visual Art, Craft & Art History, Home Economics, Photography, and many more.
Approach to Grinds:
In working with students I aim to create a positive learning environment, providing encouragement to help them discover their creativity and experience many types of expression.
I have found in working with students in art that a tactile and experiential learning approach is most effective, getting them involved in the topics in a more hands-on and engaging way.
I believe that learning happens best through exploration of different materials and trial-and-error, and students can assess their progress through self-evaluation, group evaluation and regular feedback.
