Personal Description:

Hi I'm Jack, a 3rd year Electronic and Computer Engineering student in Trinity College Dublin. I am very passionate about the subjects I teach and I am taking Biology, Physics, and Maths modules for my course, which really deepens my understanding of their core concepts.

I took Maths, Physics, and Biology at Higher Level and achieved H1's in each. I got 625 points overall (6 H1s and 2 H2s with 100% in Biology and 99% in Physics).

In my spare time I like to read, watch movies and play tennis.

Tutoring Experience:

For the past three years, I have taught both Leaving and Junior Cert students, helping them achieve the results they wanted. I have had a total of 14 students in this time, with all of them achieving results they were satisfied with.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to grinds is to break each topic down into its simplest components in order to lay a good foundation for the student to build on. For students who are having difficulty with particular concepts, I try to present the information in an easy to understand way. What worked for me in the Leaving Certificate was being completely focused on the exam questions from the beginning of the year and so I attempt to teach my students study skills and methods to replicate that. My style is to focus heavily on past papers, exam practice, and any weak points to earn the student the best result they can achieve. At the end of each session, questions can be provided to be answered and corrected for next time.
