Information About Hugo - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Hugo, a bilingual French student studying at UCD, raised in the South of France by an Irish mother. I completed my French Baccalaureate with the highest honours (Mention Très Bien) in France before coming to Ireland to study.

I have much experience speaking and studying in French, as I’ve spent most of my life in France, doing schoolwork and passing exams in the language. I understand the intricacies of studying languages, as I’m currently learning Russian, and took Spanish classes.

Tutoring Experience:

I’ve taught online classes to students for 2 years and prepared them for the Leaving Cert French Exams with great results. I have experience teaching young kids and teenagers at holiday camps. I know how to animate and motivate students.

Approach to Grinds:

Learning French can be frustrating or boring for some. I believe there is always a way to spike interest in a student’s mind, and I make it my mission to ensure learning French is an enjoyable activity. I do this by encouraging students to talk and write about subjects they are passionate about, whilst providing them with the tools to do so.

My philosophy is to adapt my lesson plan to the student’s specific needs and goals. Whether it’s to reach a specific grade in an exam or improve this skill for the working world. As I am bilingual, I understand why common mistakes are made and make sure to emphasize important concepts.
