Information About Giada - Ratoath tutor

Personal Description:

Ciao, my name is Giada and I am a native Italian speaker living in Ireland for nearly 20 years. I hold an Honours degree in Modern Languages and Literature from the University of Bologna, Italy and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from University College Dublin, Ireland.
I am a published poet, writing both in Italian and English. My first collection of Italian poems 'Sfumazioni. Poesie' was published in 2004. My poems in English have appeared on Smithereens (2018), Pendemic (2020), Poetry of the Wild Flowers (2023) and Dlúthpháirtíocht (2023).
Finally, I am an amateur photographer and I maintain a bilingual Gaeilge/English botanical journal on IG @dreoilin_bheog.

Tutoring Experience:

I am an experienced mentor and trainer, with experience teaching one-to-one and class groups alike. I have thought evening Italian classes for adults, one-to-one in person students, after-school homework clubs and in my experience as a librarian I have trained individuals and groups of people in a variety of training sessions.

Approach to Grinds:

I am passionate about teaching and learning languages and this passion underpins my teaching methods. I can design successful percorsi di apprendimento - learning paths for Junior Cycle, Senior Cycle, Leaving Certificate Ordinary or Higher Level or adult classes with a particular thematic focus (i.e. conversation, holidays etc.). I am a very empathetic and inspiring teacher and mentor.
