Personal Description:
Biomedical Postgraduate with a strong maths & science/medical background and 10 years experience in doing major exams. I am well versed in study and exam strategy. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in TCD and continued on to do a postgraduate in Biomedical Science (which is the Science behind Medicine) in which I achieved first class honours. I have also experience working in the Hospital and Research areas.
Tutoring Experience:
I have teaching experience and have been giving grinds to Second and Third Level Students for the last 12 years. Obviously this depends on the student and how much work they are prepared to do but on average students have increased by at least 6 grades between mocks and LC with some achieving increases of 120 points. To date students have achieved 600 points. I have 7 students who are doing medicine and two students who achieved a gold medal in their final year.
Approach to Grinds:
My approach to grinds not only consists of providing a thorough understanding of the curriculum at a pace that suits the student but instruction in Exam Strategy and Techniques is emphasised. These techniques will also benefit other subjects (I can give grinds in exam and study techniques alone if requested). Exam papers are an essential part of the tuition. Handouts are provided.
Tuition in exam and study techniques includes identifying what is required in study and assignment content, planning, researching and writing, timetabling, thesis and major projects, note taking, etc.
As each student's needs are different I try to fit in with their needs irrespective of how far away they live. Please ring to discuss options.

I love how he firstly asks me about my understanding of a topic and then later explains it to me if I didn't quite get it. This helps me better comprehend the topic. He also gives brilliant advice on study techniques.
