Information About Ffion - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

Salut! My name is Ffion and I am a secondary school French teacher based in Dublin. I lived and studied in Bordeaux in France and I specialise in preparation for the Leaving Certificate Oral Examination and for the written section of the paper such as le journal Intime, la rédaction, and le récit. Pronunciation, and authentic production is particularly important to me when learning French.

Tutoring Experience:

My experience to date covers all six years of post-primary education. I have extensive experience with Senior Cycle French at higher level. I have taught at high achieving schools of both genders and work with students of all abilities and with varied learning requirements. I was awarded the ASTI award for highest teaching practice and the Crawford Memorial Award for the highest grade in the masters from Trinity College Dublin.
My background in Latin and TEFL gives me a solid understanding of grammar structures and teaching practices in grammar contexts.
I also completed a diploma in innovative language learning at the Universidad de León.

Approach to Grinds:

I take a practical approach to grinds. I take a holistic approach and adapt to the individual needs of my students. Authentic material is crucial and I provide notes as well as examples of work. Students can choose to have conversation classes, classes on their 'Document' or grammar and written classes.
