Personal Description:

I am currently on sabbatical and extended vacation in Ireland.

In addition, I am currently working with the International Monetary Fund and the Qatar Financial Centre in Doha.

I was engaged as the senior economic policy advisor with the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority responsible for public financial, macro-prudential and fiscal management, energy and natural resource management, macroeconomic policy, econometric and macro-fiscal modelling and forecasting, monetary policy, private sector development, foreign direct investment initiatives, and institutional capacity building. I am also an energy economist having engaged with OPEC, the IEF and the IEA.

I am also the director for SAGIA’s Macroeconomic Research & Analysis Department.
Most recently I was employed by the International Monetary Fund, as a senior macroeconomist and strategic advisor engaging and reporting to the Fiscal Affairs Department, Washington DC.

I am widely recognized in the MENA and GCC as a pedigree economist, applied econometrician, strategic development advisor and source of experience and intellect for the formulation and implementation of national development plans, financial and fiscal reform-related programs and energy and natural resource management initiatives. In addition, As an expert in FDI initiatives in the GCC, has been invited to act as chairperson and key note speaker at the EMEA International Investment Summit, in Dubai - 8/9 November, 2017.

Fundamentally, I have 24 years’ experience engaged as an innovator, chief economist and strategic advisor to CEO’s, Ministers, heads of Government and Agencies and has worked with international stakeholders that include, the World Bank, UN, the OECD and the European Commission.
