Personal Description:

Am an MSc graduate with Dublin City University, have considerable pharma and teaching experience both at home and internationally.

Have formal teacher training, PGCE from University of Sunderland.

Tutoring Experience:

Have tutored Leaving Certificate Chemistry and Junior Cycle Science, on a one to one basis and, also in classroom situations. In particular, have taught ESL students to attain a high level of performance.

Approach to Grinds:

Its important from the start, to identify the students needs, to design lessons at their level, and also, to tailor them towards their ultimate goals.

I use a blended and applied approach to learning, by selected simulations and on-line interactive exercises as a means to check for learning. Providing interesting but relevant subject matter in order to keep the lesson buzzing.

Reflection and continuous feedback are part of the learning and improvement process.

My concept of tutoring is to ensure that the student is relaxed, where the student sets the preferred mode of learning with a common goal to excel.
