Personal Description:

¡Hola!
I give my classes on Zoom which are typically 1 hour long.
I’m a teacher and a doctor (PhD) of the Spanish language.
I’ll teach you ALL the nuts and bolts of the Spanish language no matter your level - from the verbs SER and ESTAR to the SUBJUNCTIVE and beyond!

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 10 years' experience teaching languages in all three levels of public eduction in Ireland and Spain.
I have taught for one year in primary school, one year in secondary school, three years at university and the remaining years in private academies and online.

I have taught English, Linguistics and Spanish during my career and I completely redesigned the undergraduate Spanish module during my time at Dublin City University.

Approach to Grinds:

For me, the student is the boss!
All of my classes and materials are designed with him or her fully, and specifically, in mind. This allows the student to grow far more quickly than in a generic language course.
Also, I take the student's current level as the starting point of my tuition and build upon that, adapting the content and pace according to their own unique learning style - which is the essence of the 1-to-1 learning experience.
For students wishing to sit exams, focused preparation and practice always yield the best results. We delve deep into the fabric of each segment of the exam to determine the most successful techniques for achieving maximum success.
After each lesson, I send a 'Follow-up' email to the student which typically includes class notes, presentation slides, and practice activities for the vocabulary/grammar topic of that particular day.
In short, my teaching is driven by the desire to guide the student to realising their true potential in the Spanish language.
