Personal Description:

Hello! I am currently accepting new students for August 2024 if you are interested in weekly tuition for your child. I am a *registered and fully qualified* secondary school teacher of French and German. I have lived in Germany, France and Belgium, and I speak both French and German fluently. I spent nearly two years living and working in Germany, and nearly four years working in France. I love to share my knowledge of languages with others, and I am patient and encouraging with students at all times.

Tutoring Experience:

I have nearly 12 years teaching experience in Ireland, the UK, France and Germany. I completed my teacher training at the University of Cambridge and taught for several years in the UK before I returned to Ireland. I teach French and German to all year groups, and I have worked as an oral and written examiner for the State Examinations Commission (SEC) in Ireland and AQA in England. I have a thorough knowledge of the new Junior Cycle and current Leaving Certificate curriculum. I have also taught at third level in France and Ireland, and I have given tuition to university students in Ireland studying French and German.

Approach to Grinds:

As a fully qualified secondary school teacher, I am extremely exam focused. I work to quickly identify my students' gaps in knowledge. I act to address these gaps in order for my students to make rapid progress, thereby enabling them to achieve their best possible result at Junior Cycle, Senior Cycle or university. Equally, I believe it is important not to inundate a student with excessive content, and therefore my teaching and personalised resources are very much tailored to the particular needs of the student.
