Information About Daragh - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

I am a third year student in University College Dublin, studying Law with Philosophy.

I completed the Leaving Cert in 2022, achieving 625 points. I offer grinds in Maths, English and German.

German: During my time in school, I took part in many German extra-curricular activities. I am the winner of the 2020 National Deutscholympiade and a finalist in Leaving Cert level German Debating.

Maths: This was one of my favourite subjects in school. It was a subject I struggled with at Junior Cert level, but after putting hard work in I achieved a high H1 in my Leaving Cert, achieving a 99% score in my Maths Paper 1. Because I have struggled with Maths before, I know how difficult it can be for some students.

English: I am currently studying an essay-based subject in University, so am capable of showing students how to write a great essay. I am also intimately familiar with all the Shakespeare plays, having acted in Macbeth, Hamlet and King Lear during my time in University.

Tutoring Experience:

During school my friends and I studied in groups in order to help each other on topics we were struggling on. There I learned how to help others learn in a constructive and engaging way.

Approach to Grinds:

I want to create an interesting an engaging atmosphere, and get my students excited about learning. One-on-one grinds are a far superior learning environment than a classroom, and are a great opportunity to hone in on a student's strengths and weaknesses.
