This is how 2 referees rated Danielle:
I am a fully qualified and fluent secondary school teacher from Donegal who is extremely passionate about the Irish language and culture. I provide comprehensive notes on each topic and I cover each aspect of the course in depth to ensure that each student has full understanding of it. I am willing to travel if the distance is reasonable and I am also available for grinds in my own home when possible. My main goal is to instill students with a love of the Irish language while getting them where they need to be.
I have taught Irish and History in schools in both Dublin and Donegal. I am currently employed in a South County Dublin school. I have taught Irish over many summers in the Gaeltacht and I have examined Oral Irish Leaving Cert exams. I have much experience helping students across Dublin including Blackrock College, Wesley College and Mucross.
Approach to Grinds:
I use tailored notes and set out learning targets based on the students ability and goals. I use confidence building strategies and a strong strong set of notes with an emphasis on effective and impressive vocabulary which students can use again and again. I aim to make students stand out from their classmates with stylish vocabulary, superb use of grammar and proverbs.
I aim to create an atmosphere that is relaxed but focused, building professional relationships with my students so that they feel comfortable, which in turn allows students to reach their full potential.
