Information About Cormac - Duleek tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Cormac and I am 24 years old. I am based in Meath however I spend the majority of my time in Dublin due to college and work. I have an Honours Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacology degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway. I am currently studying Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) in Dublin. I am also a professional irish dancer and fully qualified dancing teacher (T.C.R.G.). I am Garda vetted and have completed my Túsla course in child protection and safety. I have an affable character and always strive to help people to achieve their potential.

Tutoring Experience:

I am new to the world of grind teaching however throughout my own time in secondary school I utilised the grinds system and realised what an amazing impact it can have on student confidence and grades. I am a fully qualified dancing teacher and have taught children of all ages. I am a very encouraging and patient teacher and always strive to get the best out of every student

Approach to Grinds:

I believe that it is very important for the student to feel comfortable and confident during grinds lessons. Through my experience I have realised the best approach to grinds is one in which aims are established at the start of the lesson based on what the student is least confident with and that these aims are systematically achieved by the end of the lesson. I like to make lessons enjoyable for students as I feel when students are happy and confident during lessons they get the most out of it. I also think continued reinforcement of what the student has learned from subsequent lessons is essential in order to ensure that the information stays with them.
