Personal Description:

¡Hola! I am a languages graduate (1.1 in Spanish) with a passion for the Spanish language which I hope to share with students.

I aim to make classes lively and interesting and help students to see Spanish as a tool of communication that can open up whole areas of the world to them.

At the same time, I am familiar with the state exams and will be focusing on exam technique and getting students familiar with these.

Tutoring Experience:

I studied Spanish for my Leaving Cert before going on to study languages at Trinity. While I was in college I gave language grinds to Leaving Cert students which was a job I found very rewarding.

I studied in Seville, Spain for one year of my degree where I taught English to Spanish secondary school students as a tutor and spent the summer working on English summer camps for Spanish teenagers.

Approach to Grinds:

Lessons are tailor made to cater to the needs of each individual student. My classes aim to get students feeling confident and excited to speak and read Spanish. I believe that the value of language learning goes far beyond exams and I aim to help students to discover the satisfaction and adventure that can be involved in learning a second language. In order to keep things interesting I try to adapt my teaching to the student's interests and focus on communicating through Spanish as much as possible.

I know that exams are also front of mind for many students. I have been reacquainting myself with the Spanish state exams, the marking schemes and reports. I will ensure that students are prepared for these exams and that they know how to approach them.
