Information About Cathal - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

A hardworking student that has a passion for science and mathematics. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering in UCD. I completed my Leaving Cert in 2019 receiving a total amount of 590 points. I also achieved the highest mark in the country (100%) in Leaving Cert Physics, receiving the Institute of Physics Ireland medal of 2019. I'm located in South Dublin and willing to travel within Dublin for grinds.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been giving grinds since 2017 in my school (starting in Transition Year) giving grinds in Mathematics for Junior Cert level. Then in 2019 I began giving grinds in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, mainly to Leaving Cert students. I usually do grinds in person but due to the global pandemic I began to offer online grinds over Skype/Zoom as well.

Approach to Grinds:

I find teaching fundamental understanding and proper exam technique to be the best approach to grinds, rather than excessive rope learning. I can adapt to work at a pace most suitable for the student. I take great care in planning and implementing student focused grinds that engage the student and spark any potential interest that they may have for the subject.
