Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Carine. I am a French native and Spanish tutor. I've been living in Ireland for over 25 years. Learning and speaking languages have always been at the heart of my career and have been a center piece of my life and a part of who I am. I consider myself fortunate to have worked with people from all over the world, and speaking three languages has definitely enriched my experience.
Teaching someone a language is what I love doing.I believe that a teacher is a learner first and so it's very rewarding to see students venture on the path of language learning and see them amazed at their progress, just the way I was when I first learned English and Spanish as a foreign language.

Aside from languages, my other passions are yoga, meditation, balanced eating, and music (a bit of piano playing does wonders for my soul)

Tutoring Experience:

I've plenty of experience helping Junior and Senior level students reach their learning objectives for their state examinations.

I have been a language tutor privately and I used to teach in a grinds’ school in Wexford town.

I’ve worked with students who have done really well in their French and Spanish exams (H1, H3) and who have taken the opportunity to continue learning those languages at third level education. If you’re a determined student looking to improve your knowledge and practice of French or Spanish I’ll be happy to help you do that.

Approach to Grinds:

My teaching style focuses on verbal communication and listening skills.
I encourage each student to speak in French/Spanish early on in the lessons so they feel less daunted by the idea of an oral exam.

All aspects of the Common Level Junior Cert and Leaving Cert (OL & HL) French/Spanish are covered.
