Personal Description:

A motivated, passionate and experienced teacher of English and Geography at both Junior and Senior Cycle. I am proud to say that my students have excelled in their State Examinations, achieving some of the top results through my learner centred and focused approach to teaching.

B.A. in English and Geography and Professional Masters of Eduction (PME) - University College Dublin, graduating with a First Class Honours.

Tutoring Experience:

My goal as a teacher is to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive learning environment which puts the learners at the centre. I am committed to supporting and challenging students in the pursuit of the highest standards of achievement and academic excellence whilst fostering a love of both lifelong learning and the subject matter.

With experience teaching in many different school settings from rural to urban, private fee-paying, co-ed and single-sex I am best placed to meet the needs of all learners.

Approach to Grinds:

Every student learns differently and it is therefore essential for me to get to know the student and their needs initially. It is for this reason that *I offer a free 25 minute consultation grind to ascertain the needs of the student and gain an understanding as to how I can best accommodate and work with you*.

From our initial meeting, I construct a plan for us to work through in each of our sessions to help you on your journey to achieving your goals. Each session is focused, well-paced and tailored to meet the needs of the student ensuring that they feel more confident about the material and their ability to perform in the various assessments across the JC and LC curricula.

Students are provided with notes and sample answers throughout the grinds process to support their learning.
