Personal Description:

I am a qualified Mathematics Teacher who has been tutoring for over 10 years in both Ireland and Scotland. While my career now is in IT (I switched from teaching to IT) I have always tutored in the background as I enjoy doing so and love seeing students succeed and improve their maths ability. I moved back from Edinburgh in 2020 where I had over 20 students that I saw each week as well as working full time so I was extremely busy. I have experience in both face-to-face and online tutoring and have in depth knowledge of the Irish curriculum.

I live with my fiance Aoife who is a primary school teacher and our three dogs, Fia, Basil, and Minnie. We love going for walks on Sandymount strand and I am a major sports fanatic so that keeps me busy. I also work as a technical consultant in a professional services company.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a fully qualified Maths and Physical Education Teacher from University of Limerick. I have over 10 years experience in tutoring maths.

Approach to Grinds:

I am quite relaxed and focus on the student and figuring our how best they learn. We focus on both learning concepts in a way that the student can understand while also keeping assessments in our mind so students can achieve their goals. I take an interest in each student I have, and while we work hare to improve our maths, we will also take breaks and discuss interests and hobbies etc. so the student enjoys the session as well as learns alot. Given my vast experience in tutoring, this works best for students as when they are in a comfortable environment they tend to work better and give more to the session.
