Information About Aoife - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

Hello everyone, My name is Aoife. I am a primary school teacher. I have a lot of experience working with children. I have trained numerous sports teams in the past. I am still currently involved in training soccer to the primary school boys and girls. I also currently play soccer. I have a particular love of maths and drama. I have always enjoyed doing both of these subjects. I was involved in numerous drama activities outside of school and was a member of a club. I have worked with young and older children with special educational needs. I helped mentor students with needs while attending Mary Immaculate College during my breaks.

I have carried out numerous grinds with primary school children particularly in the areas of English and maths. I absolutely love making a difference and seeing how it can benefit each child. I believe fun active enthusiastic learning is key. I love making teaching as interactive as possible. I have adapted and used many methodologies gained from my experience of camps and in the classroom to help formulate my own unique teaching style. I have set up an afterschool Lego clubs and Creative writing clubs and have gotten tremendous feedback from parents. I have also lead Science and Lego clubs during the holidays.

I hold a Bachelor of Education Degree level 8 from Mary Immaculate College and got a second class honours degree. I possess certificates in the following areas.
1. Certificate to teach Christian religious education and multi denominational religion.
2. The ability to be able to teach English to EAL learners.
3. Certificate in ICT and the pedagogy of Maths.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching for 6 years. I have taught in the mainstream classroom for 4 and focused on special educaction for 2 years. This year I amj currently focusing on supporting 2nd class in the areas of literacy and maths

Approach to Grinds:

Each child is unique so the teaching pedaqgogy and methadologies vary hugely.
