Personal Description:

Hi, I am a university qualified and highly experienced healthcare professional with a passion for science, particularly biology. I am also a university educated journalist and photo-journalist who's work is heavily focused on domestic and international politics, the environment and social affairs.

I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others, and love tutoring students of all ages and abilities on the subjects that excite me.

As a neuro-divergent person I am acutely aware that we all have our own ways of working and engaging. It is vital to me that I understand and accommodate each students' personal requirements in order to ensure successful results from our tutoring sessions.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring students for over a decade in science and biology. In more recent years I have also tutored students in english, politics, and the art of study, essay writing and exam preparation.

Approach to Grinds:

I am a warm and easy-going but highly focused tutor who firmly believes that there is no such thing as a stupid question. I will provide a complimentary initial consultation with the student which enables us to get to know each other and begin to understand where my help and experience would be most beneficial.

We all have our owns ways of learning and remembering information. Understanding a student's ways of working is key to successful learning. I use our initial consultation to begin to understand this so that I can tailor my tutoring approach accordingly.
