Personal Description:

My name is Aoibhe and I am a 22 year old language enthusiast! I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in World Languages from UCC, focusing on Irish, French, and Italian. I have spent the past 12 months studying and working abroad in Montpellier, France, to further enhance my language skills and immerse myself in the French language and culture. As someone who is deeply passionate about learning new languages and exploring different cultures, I believe that I can make a positive impact to inspire a grá for languages amongst my students and to help them nail those exams.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had the pleasure of helping Leaving and Junior Certificate students prepare for their French and Irish exams. It has been incredibly rewarding to see my students' language skills grow and develop over time.

Approach to Grinds:

When it comes to tutoring French and Irish, my approach is tailored to each individual student's needs and goals. However, I always try to begin by establishing a curiosity and love of languages, as this will always motivate the student to learn.

I focus on past exam papers, as these provide an excellent foundation for understanding the structure and expectations of the exam. From there, I work with my students to develop their essay writing skills, providing guidance on formatting and expressions that are relevant to the exam with plenty of H1 sample answers.

In addition to written work, I also place a great emphasis on oral work, as this is a crucial component of the French and Irish exams. I seek to inspire confidence within students in their speaking abilities by providing a supportive and interactive environment. H1 sample notes will be provided.
