Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified Mathematics and Music teacher with 12 years experience teaching both subjects to higher level. I have also been employed with the Mathematics Development Team of Ireland (Professional Development Service for Teachers). I have several years experience delivering tutoring in Mathematics. I received an A grade in my teaching practice. I really enjoy teaching to a high standard and I feel that I am really suited to explain the complex skills in Mathematics to each student in a way that they can understand. I also teach the Piano and Violin. I also have experience correcting exam papers for DEB (mocks) and the SEC (State Examinations Commission) to ensure that I am up to date with what is required for students to receive top marks. I have also examined Junior Certificate Music Performance & Leaving Certificate Music Performance for the SEC.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught in both public and private schools, teaching a range of students to understand the material. I have taught Piano and Violin for the past 13 years. I am currently teaching both subjects & instruments.

Approach to Grinds:

I like to help the students achieve a deeper understanding of the material. I do this by comparing the concepts involved to applications in our everyday life. Practicing exam questions and going through marking schemes is very beneficial after the material has been revised. I provide handouts/exercises to students containing the material covered during a tutoring session.
