Personal Description:

Hi

I live in Galway and like going for walks along the sea shore.

Learning and teaching languages is big part of my life, I am teaching German and I am learning French and Russian, because I believe that with every new language you learn, you re-discover yourself and that is one of the biggest joys in life.

Apart from learning languages I like drawing and playing ukulele.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching German for nearly 20 years, in schools, evening courses and grinds.

For the last few years I am preparing young people to succeed in their exams and I believe I and my students are doing not too bad as in the last group I was preparing for Leaving Cert - nearly 70 % of them got H1!

Approach to Grinds:

Teaching German is my profession and that 's why I am always giving it my best, all the time improving my techniques, but have in focus the needs of the person who is learning, as people have different goals in life.

When possible, I m bringing bits of fun into my lessons, by interactive exercises, games and lots of conversations, as language is in the first place direct communication.

I always listen for feedback from my students as this is the key to their and my success.

Seeing somebody progressing from being an insecure beginner to a confident language user is giving me great satisfaction and is the real goal of my lessons.
