Personal Description:

I am a qualified Chemistry and Mathematics teacher with 10 years of teaching experience.

My qualifications have led me to be proficient in my taught subjects.

I hold an honours degree in Chemical & Pharmaceutical Science (BSc). During my undergrad, the core modules I studied were: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics. All topics I am well versed in.
I also hold a Professional Masters of Education from DCU, which is a requirement to teach students at second level.
Furthermore, I have additionally gained a first class honours in a professional Masters of Mathematics from the University of Limerick.

I take great pride in teaching, and I have a great passion for my subjects.

Tutoring Experience:

10+ years experience teaching Chemistry, Science and Mathematics, in both secondary schools and Universities across Ireland.
2+ years experience teaching Chemistry and Mathematics in the UK, to both GCSE and A level students.
Vast knowledge and experience, in teaching different curriculums.

Currently the Head of Chemistry and Mathematics Department, in a Dublin private school.
Teach Senior Cycle, Higher level Maths, and Higher level Chemistry.
Also teach Junior Cycle Higher level Maths.
Tutoring exam year students during the school term, in taught subjects.
Additionally, run Mathematics workshops for all years, outside of school.
Former tutor at DCU in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
Well experienced in correcting the Junior and Leaving Cert State exams, in both Mathematic and Chemistry.
This has given me a great insight on how students are to answer exam questions to obtain highest marks.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to tutoring is very much dependent on each student and their learning style. I like to begin with an overall coverage of topics that students may have difficulty with. Once both I and the student are comfortable with understanding certain concepts in each topic, will we then progress onto examination papers.
