Personal Description:

Teacher of Mathematics since 2012;
Experienced in exam preparation and homework help;

My specialty is exam-focused skill development but I also help children understand the essential foundations to give them the best foot forward, and work with adults who want to refresh, develop or gain skills they might have lost or missed out on.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been qualified as a secondary school teacher since 2012. Even before that, I worked as a tutor. I received my qualification to teach from Oxford University where we focused on how people learn and how to adapt teaching style to the needs of the student (pedagogy). We all learn in different ways so my job is to figure out how a student thinks, and then teach in the best way for them to understand.

I often travel between Galway city and Roscommon so I can be available in Galway, Claregalway, Turloughmore, Abbeyknockmoy, Moylough, Creggs, Castlecoote, Roscommon, Athleague, Four Roads, Ballyforan, Ballygar, Mountbellew, Caltra, Menlough, Monivea, Athenry, and Oranmore. For any other locations please enquire: all can be accommodated but I may require a small additional fee towards travel.

I am here to help you! That means I work to YOUR needs.

Ideally, we will work through past exam papers together. When we identify any weaknesses, we will work together until you understand the topic fully and feel confident that you can answer questions well. My personal philosophy is that no-one is "bad at maths" - they just need the right teacher!

I can also help you to set up a revision plan, home-study timetable, and note system that works for you, and help with your regular homework too if you would like. Also, we should have some fun while we study so I hope you have a sense of humour!
