Information About Alex - Cork tutor

Personal Description:

I recently graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in Medicinal Chemistry & Chemical Biology. I completed by Leaving Certificate in 2018 and received 8 H1s, including a H1 in German, French, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Applied Maths. I have a C2 certificate in German and C1 certificate in Italian (C-levels are the highest that can be attained by non-native speakers). I have over a year's experience working in the pharmaceutical industry with responsibility for the German and Italian-speaking markets, so I use these languages as well as my knowledge of chemistry at a high level. I am currently studying at the University of Oxford.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 5 years experience of teaching students at both Junior and Senior Cycle levels in a variety of subjects, including German, Maths, Chemistry and French.

Approach to Grinds:

I know the Leaving Cert curriculum like the back of my hand. I provide unique, personalised H1-level notes for all topics and areas of the course. I assign a small amount of homework every week and I am always available by text or email if the student has questions between grinds. I usually recommend one grind per week, but additional sessions can be arranged around mock exams, Christmas exams or oral exams.
