Personal Description:

I am a native Spanish teacher, from Chile. I help students with different backgrounds to prepare for the Spanish Leaving Cert.
I can highlight that I am very patient with my students, so all questions are valid. If we need to come back to review something, we do it.

I hold a BA degree in English Studies and Languages from Technological University Dublin; trained as a Spanish teacher ELE (Spanish as a second language) at Instituto Cervantes, Dublin, and certified Spanish teacher at Miguel de Cervantes University.
I am also a member of the ATS in Ireland (Spanish teachers association in Ireland).

Tutoring Experience:

I have been working with different students for 10 years, and in the last years helping students with the leaving certificate in Spanish.

Approach to Grinds:

Above all, I like to address the student’s needs or concerns about the exam to help them gain confidence.

In addition, we review specific areas for the exam: reading comprehension, role-plays, listening, oral; vocabulary. I focus especially, on the opinion piece by helping the student to create a nice structure as well as meaningful content that will guarantee higher marks. Furthermore, we prepare and build vocabulary as well as get familiar with common structures, and Spanish expressions.

Of course, we discuss strategies and techniques to save time during the exam and improve your marks. I use past exam papers and a textbook for Spanish Leaving Cert depending on where the student needs more support.
