I'm a 22-year-old Graduate Entry Medicine student with a previous First class honours in Neuroscience from UCD (a four year degree that incorporates a two year general science element). I'm interested in helping anyone who wants to further their understanding of Biomedical science, especially the fields of Neuroscience, Pharmacology, and/or Cell & Molecular biology. I also completed a 6-month exchange program (third year) to the University of Queensland, Australia, attending several seminars at the Queensland Brain Institute, gaining crucial international experience into different styles of scientific teaching. Additionally, after completing a laboratory-based thesis into how 'mutations in ER-shaping proteins affect autophagy using Drosophila melanogaster as a model of HSP', I can provide tips as to the do's and don'ts of scientific writing.
During my first two years of college I gave grinds in secondary school subjects; Physics and Biology, but due to the workload in my final two years I was unable to do so. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to getting back into it.
Approach to Grinds:
I think learning is best achieved in a friendly environment where ideas are discussed between student and teacher.
