Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with particular interests in Science, Maths and Irish.

Tutoring Experience:

I have ten years experience working as a qualified teacher in a variety of school settings.

I have specific experience as an ESL and Learning Support teacher (Maths and English) and have taught all class levels at primary level as well as working as a Maths tutor up to Leaving Certifica**Contact Detail Removed**vel.

I have also completed training as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) facilitator and teach a Science course to other teachers. I am interested in the Inquiry-based approach in education and have recently graduated with a Master's degree in Inwuiry-Based Learning.

Approach to Grinds:

I have a calm, relaxed approach. My aim would be to set out targets in our first session and then work together to achieve our aims. I usually give 'homework' to be completed between sessions.

He has a quiet, patient and positive manner and his strategy of getting the student to set a goal for the tutoring in terms of examination results brings them into the process in a positive way. There is no stress evident either before or after his tutoring sessions. I have no hesitation in recommending Alan as a Maths tutor.
