Personal Description:

BA Honours degree from Trinity College in French and Spanish, Majoring in Spanish for final year.
M.A in Translation Studies French/Spanish from DCU.
State Examiner for both Junior and Leaving Cert Spanish and Appeals Examiner for leaving cert Spanish since 2017
A broad and varied career in IT, Localisation,Translation, Teaching Yoga (and yes sometimes through French and Spanish), Teaching English as an additional Language, Teaching French and Spanish at Secondary level as well as over 13 years teaching grinds.

Tutoring Experience:

One to one tuition to both Junior and Leaving cert students in both French and Spanish for over 13 years.
Small group tuition at grind schools.
Teaching French and Spanish at all stages of secondary level.
Teaching Yoga to adults and teens and teaching at secondary level through French/Spanish.

Approach to Grinds:

My preference is for one to one tuition as it is the most efficient way of honing in quickly on the students strengths and weaknesses. In the first session all areas of the course are examined: Oral/Aural/Comprehension and Written. Areas of weakness are identified and a study plan devised. My experience as a state examiner means that i can work specifically on exam technique showing the students how to optimise marks. Notes are provided throughout which are ammended for the students specific areas of concern. I take into account the learning style of each individual student and align my classes accordingly.
Payment is required in advance of each lesson. I am flexible around times but if a student does not show up and has not notified me there will be a charge or the slot will be given to a student on the waiting list.
