Information About Aisling - Aisling
I'm originally from Tipperary but working in Cork during the week. I did Arts in UCC from 2009 to 2012,majoring in Irish and minoring in History. Last year, I completed a masters in modern Irish up in NUIG and I am currently almost finished the PDE course with UCC in order to become a qualified secondary school teacher.
I have been giving grinds for the last 4 years to both Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students as well as children in National School. I worked as a ceannaire on Oileán Cléire for the summer after the leaving cert. I'm currently completing the PDE in UCC and teaching Irish and History in a secondary school in the city.
Approach to Grinds:
I take quite a relaxed but very focused approach with regards to grinds. Every student is different so we usually devise a plan or scheme after the first meeting. With Irish, in particular, it is important to grasp what level of spoken or written Irish the student holds. This will then help shape the direction the grinds will take. Each grind I have may need a different approach depending on what way the student learns best.
