Information About Ailíse - Navan tutor

Personal Description:

I hold a degree in both Modern Irish and German from Trinity College Dublin as well as a postgraduate degree in Irish Translation. I am currently working as a Freelance Irish Translator.
I have always had a flare for languages as well as a major passion for the Irish language.
During my undergraduate degree, I took a year out to move to Germany and work there full-time to improve my spoken German and to learn more about the culture.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for 4 years now at both Junior and Leaving Cert levels (Higher and Ordinary). I have a good knowledge of the curriculum and the areas in which students tend to struggle with.
I worked as a Language Assistant during my 4th Year in Trinity College Dublin. In this role I worked closely with 1st Year students to improve their spoken Irish.
I offered Irish Language classes to people in Direct Provision.

Approach to Grinds:

I encourage students to take a guess at anything and to be comfortable to make mistakes during my class in order to learn from such mistakes. I work closely with the student to personalise their lessons and ensure that I am covering what they want/need covered.
I am exam-focused and am happy to correct any additional work students wish to do and provide feedback.
