Personal Description:

I have a bachelor of science first class honours degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Limerick. After my undergraduate degree, I was awarded a funded scholarship to compete a research masters in applied mathematics. While I was competing my Masters, I taught in the University of Limerick giving mathematics tutorials and lectures to undergraduate engineers and mathematic undergraduates. I have competed a master in mathematics and physics education. I now teach maths, applied maths and physics in a secondary school in Limerick.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught mathematics and physics at second and third level. While completing my masters I taught mathematics modules in the university and taught in the universities mathematics learning centre. It was then when I got the love for teaching. I am now a teacher of maths, applied maths and physics at Leaving Cert level in a secondary school in Limerick.

Approach to Grinds:

I do small group online grinds for LC higher level maths. I have both 5th year and 6th year groups. I provide students with notes on all LC HL maths topics, exam technique guides, worked out solutions to past exam questions. I cater my approach to the students ability and learning styles. I spend time discussing with the students the areas they struggle with and the areas they like in the subject. This helps give me an insight and allows me to adjust my lessons for the individual needs of my students. I strive to not only teach my students the subject but to also show them my enthusiasm and love for my subjects with hope to motivate and even possibly pass that enthusiasm onto them.m
