Personal Description:

I have a PhD in maths education. I’m a maths and applied maths teacher in Dublin. I work in one-to-one grinds so I can alter the teaching of topics to suit an individual’s needs. I am also open to small group grinds

Tutoring Experience:

I qualified in 2014 as a maths and applied maths teacher, before returning to university to study a PhD in maths education. My research focussed on highly able maths students. While working on the PhD, I lectured in DCU, and taught workshops to trainee teachers of DCU, Marino Institute and University of Limerick.

Approach to Grinds:

I like to cater topics towards an individual’s specific needs. I spend the first session gaining an understanding of how a student works, and seeing how they deal with common styles of question. I also encourage the discussion of each question we work on, with both correct and incorrect methods discussed to encourage understanding.
