Personal Description:

I offer my language tuition services to adults wanting to learn a language for fun, personal development reasons or just because they feel like doing something new.

Tutoring is how I earn my living, so you can be assured that my focus during our sessions would be on helping you to progress in your language learning.

I provide support to people wanting to learn a language or improve their foreign language skills, whether they have never learnt a language before or just want extra support.

**Please note that I live in and am from England, not Ireland. As tuition is online, this should not affect you.**

Tutoring Experience:

I have been offering language tuition services since 2010.

Most people when they start sessions are beginners (or more or less beginners), but I also help people who already have language knowledge.

I usually offer help on a one-to-one basis, but also have helped people on a two-to-one basis, so if you have a friend or partner who also wants to learn you could learn together.

**Please note a small number of my reviews on this site relate to law tuition, which I used to offer through the UK Academic version of this site (but no longer offer).**

Approach to Grinds:

To progress in a language you need to understand how the language works. This means understanding sentence structure and how to express yourself.

To help you to progress, we would focus on improving your language structure, vocabulary as well as pronunciation.

You would normally learn some new theory or vocabulary every tuition session. You would also have regular practice to increase your confidence using the language.

Before starting lessons people often understand some of the language, but have difficulties speaking with confidence. Alternatively they may have reached a stage where they recognise a lot, but lack confidence using the language. This is where tuition can help. I will help you to increase your knowledge as well as increase your confidence using the language.

My tuition services will give you the support you need in your language learning journey.

**All tuition is offered online only. (For info: Since mid-March 2020 or thereabouts all language tuition has been online. Prior to then language tuition was in person (obviously in England))**

Having done a bit of German a little while ago at GCSE, Adam has been great at bringing me back up to speed. Adam explains things in a clear and understandable way, and it is great to be able to finally understand concepts which I didn't understand before. Adam's lessons are well structured and his worksheets explain new concepts very well, with good examples to help understanding. He is always punctual and reliable, and excellent at communication.

I'm very much a beginner, adult learner so really needed to start with the absolute basics, which Adam has been particularly good at, compared to other tutors I have used in the past. I really feel like I'm getting to grips with the building blocks of the French language for the first time. I also particularly like Adam's worksheets, which are very well thought out and structured, so you always know what subject you're learning and how this fits with previous lessons.

He is very punctual and organised around holidays and needing to move the odd session to accommodate my work commitments. I would definitely recommend Adam for any adult leaners.

He's been really patient and has laid out a really simple plan where we cover everything at a speed that never feels rushed. Adam always picks up on areas that need more attention and works that into the lessons.

Originally our lessons were in person, however due to current events we've moved them online temporarily and I can highly recommend both.
