Personal Description:

Hi,

My name is Adam , I went to St.Joseph’s college ‘The Bish’ from 2018 to 2023 in Galway. Now, since September of last year I’ve been tutoring for JC maths trying save up for college abroad (in the uk) next year. I consistently enjoyed learning all along my own years and have had a passionate for education since I can remember. I also coach
rowing full time as an instructor in the Bish, it is another hobby of mine. I do this all whilst offering grinds for maths in the evening.

Tutoring Experience:

I’ve achieved the top of my class all throughout my years in secondary school, I enjoyed helping my classmates when a certain topic or problem bothered them. Since starting tutoring in September, now in April I have over 100+ hours of lessons done in Junior cert level maths. I’m confident in my ability to clear up any confusion you have and to be there to answer your questions. Covering any topic thoroughly until you’d like to move on. I pride myself in being there to help the student, catering to their specific needs.

Approach to Grinds:

The approach I take is focused on the exam format, Aiming to recreate the conditions of the junior cert so to prepare the student for the day. I believe allowing the student to build a trust in their own ability with math is key and my job is to hopefully correct any mistakes all whilst clearing away any doubt they may have in themselves. It’s a step by step approach building upon the basics which I believe will set them up for success on the exam day. These grinds are supplementary to school, if there are topics that the student has missed out on or mightn’t get, that’s what I’m here for, to help.
