Personal Description:

I am a 3rd Year university student studying Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin, offering Maths, DCG, and Applied Maths tutoring. I have a great passion for maths. I find great fulfilment in helping students achieve their academic potential.

I placed third in the Irish Mathematical Olympiad, and went on to represent Ireland in the International Maths Olympiad, widely regarded as the most prestigious maths competition in the world. I achieved 613 points in my Leaving Certificate, with a H1 in Maths, Applied Maths, Physics, and DCG.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 2 years experience tutoring students, including having worked for Kumon Ireland, and currently help with maths support tutoring at University College Dublin.

I have tutored students in the following subjects, and offer grinds in all of these at both Leaving Cert and Junior Cert levels:
- Maths
- Applied Maths
- Design Communication Graphics (DCG)
- Extra Curricular Maths

Approach to Grinds:

First and foremost in my approach to grinds is tailoring to each student. Every student has different needs, and every student finds difficulty with different topics. I provide revision questions after each session specific to each student, focussed on developing their individual weaknesses.

For me, it is very important to be understanding and patient with my students at all times. I believe that the tutoring process should be a cooperative one, rather than a lecture. My aim is to create an atmosphere where students believe in their own abilities, and are never afraid to ask a question or make a mistake.

I understand that ultimately the most important thing for each student are the grades they receive. Bearing this in mind, I make sure that all my grinds maintain an exam focus.

Furthermore, I provide notes on any requested topic as another tool for helping my students learn.
