***** To catch-up, To keep-up and/or To leap-frog, take the first step; enquire of me. Perhaps, I might be the best guide to achieving your academic goals. Tuitions in-person and online have recommenced! *****
A full-time tutor and mentor with a passion for the subject I teach!
When not tutoring, I am also a wife and mum.
UK qualified secondary Maths teacher with experience of state-school teaching and a decade of mentor/tutoring knowledge. Tutoring is my professional calling and my decision to pursue a teaching career stemmed from my very positive experiences of providing tuition. I provide academic tuition and mentoring to adult and Young learners. I also help with Entrance exam preparations; i have enjoyed much success helping students achieve admission into some of the UK's top private/public schools. I am pleased to note that the majority of my service users have come through recommendations from other tutees.
Approach to Grinds:
Determination, home-work and a belief that it can be done are all we will need to succeed. From experience, I know that in as little as 3 weeks much progress can be made.
My tutoring style achieves best when the objective is based on the acceptance that: Although we can not all be THE best, we can all be OUR best. My goal as a tutor is simple - to enable my tutees to become successful independent learners who are not just able to pass the next assessment but continue successfully in their academic journeys. Becoming a permanent fixture in your lives is not the plan; your progress is my success.
Every tuition commitment begins with a diagnostic assessment; I need to judge for myself current areas of strength/weakness. A sure foundation is the only way to guarantee our objectives are successfully met and that we lay a solid foundation for continued academic endeavours. Every lesson is planned and H/w provided. Lesson delivery is done very much with the learner's individual learning style in mind.

As i try to bring out the best in Charlie, he is inspiring me to bring my A-game to every session. His response to our work, be ut together or H/w makes every effort on my part totally worth it! He has been able to let go of past reports and just soak up everything i teach him!
Of course, i must not forget the organised support from home! The perfect combination all round.
She developed the much needed 'Problem-solving' skill that will be an asset to her not only at university but in the whole of life! That was our true achievement. :-)
I look forward to continuing my work with him; to help him realise the ample natural ability he possesses. Thank you.
Thank you! :D
She tailors her program to the learners needs and has a great range of resources available, to reinforce and teach.
As an adult casual learner, my age is respected, and her approach is adapted to suit.
I would highly recommend Abhi for both children and adult casual learners like myself.
You have been a reminder that every learner is unique!
I am confident he will gain admission into all the schools he applies for.
I had to get a GCSE Maths grade C in order to enrol on a PGCE course. I've always had an aversion to Maths and was terrified of the subject. I had done the GCSE Maths exams twice at school and got an E. I actually gave up on Maths as I really could not see how it would be useful as I was going on a humanities path in high school and university. On hearing that I had to get a C to enrol on the PGCE course, I was filled with dread at the thought of having to go through a Maths exam again. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get Miss Abhi as a tutor!
Her lessons were an effective mixture of information, demonstrations, real-life situations, and video clips presented in a manner that enticed me to listen. The concepts and theories discussed in the lessons stuck in my mind because of the unique way in which they were discussed. In 3 weeks’ time, Miss Abhi managed to cover the whole syllabus and gave me enough confidence to tackle pass exam papers. Miss Abhi's wonderful personality and her enthusiasm for her subject, gave me the desire to learn more. Her high expectations, even when I did not really believe in myself, and her constant support allowed me to pass my exams and get a 92% - A!
If you need help with Maths, Miss Abhi is the one to go to!! She's the best out there!
Mind you, we don't have the results of his end of year exams yet. Thanks
I am confident he will go on to achieve well this year and at GCSEs.
But her 11+ plus results have proven what we've always known about her - she is able.
I look forward to continuing my work with her; SATs are our next target.
I have no doubt that she will the independent learner that I know she can be by the time I send her off to high-school in Sep.
You have giving me the space to just teach as I deemed effective and it has been seriously rewarding for the children and me.
One goal met and by God’s grace, the upcoming objectives will be, not just met, but surpassed with every academic potential realised. :-)
All in all, a good result, thank you.
My aim is to maintain and improve on the standard already set so that we can meet our objective of building Sophie's confidence in preparations for her 11+ exams in a manner that lays a solid foundation for her continued academic endeavours.
I will admit, I was one part excited and two parts anxious to receive your initial inquiry for you were to become my very first A-Level student. The last 7weeks as your tutor have proven that my initial worries were generally unfounded. Thank you for allowing me the room to develop an ‘A-Level’ style of teaching. I hope to maintain and improve the standard already set and to meet our joint objective of achieving your desired A-Level grade in a manner that lays a solid foundation for your continued academic endeavours.
I hope to maintain and improve on the standard already set so that we can meet our joint objective of building your daughter's confidence in preparations for her 11+ exams in a manner that lays a solid foundation for her continued academic endeavours.
I hope to maintain the standard already set and to meet our joint objective of building Megan's confidence in Maths (spilling into other subjects) and to raise her targeted GCSE grade.
