How Does First Tutors: Languages Work?

Step 1: Register free to begin advertising language lessons in your local area. This enables you to showcase your qualifications and experience and to specify where and when you wish to teach.

Step 2: Receive enquiries through our service from potential clients. Decide whether you wish to accept their request, decline or discuss their needs further using your personal member's panel. Learning requests come through year round. We ask teachers to reply to requests swiftly.

Step 3: Exchange contact details with your learner and begin lessons. If your learner is happy with your offer and accepts the agreement, we arrange for your contact details to be swapped. You are issued an e-mail detailing your new learner's contact details and our introductory fee. We also charge learners £4.99-19.99* for their introduction to you to verify that they are a genuine enquiry. There is no charge to the language teacher for this service.
