Online Maths and Physics Tuition

** I am currently only offering online tuition **

I am a professional tutor and education consultant, specialising in 6th form study, and Oxford and Cambridge admissions. Educated at the University of Oxford (Christ Church), I achieved a First Class Honours in the 4-year MPhys (Master of Physics) course (2018). As part of my Master’s, I was involved with research in the Astrophysics Department looking at star formation in galaxies, and was the first recipient of the Francesco Palla prize for Astrophysics. Outside of physics, I have a keen interest in music, I play the drums and produce records with groups in Oxford and London.

Tutoring Experience

I have a wealth of experience in tutoring maths, further maths and physics at a range of levels; from 11 and 13+ entrance to GCSE, IB and A level, and in a wide variety of formats; from full time sixth form study to short term intensive revision courses. I have delivered over 4000 hours of one-to-one tuition, and regularly contract with some of the most prestigious tutoring agencies in the UK.

I specialise in preparing students for the Oxford and Cambridge admissions process, including mock interviews and tutoring specifically tailored for the entrance papers (PAT, STEP, TMUA etc). I have developed my own programmes to prepare students for the Oxford PAT and Cambridge ENGAA exams, and have produced and led residential courses on Oxbridge admissions at top schools in South East Asia, Europe and across the UK.

Tutoring Approach

Similar to the tutorial style at Oxford, I take a 'problem-based’ approach to tutoring, with learning by example at the centre of this. The combination of rigorous mathematics and physical insight underlies all of physics, and the methods of working (and thinking) necessary to solve such problems are widely applicable across many subjects.

Climate Responsibility
The health of the planet is our responsibility. For every lesson, a donation is made from business profits to charities working for climate action, supporting the environment, conserving wildlife, preventing deforestation and reducing the use of fossil fuels. I currently support the following charities:
- Project Seagrass
- The Rainforest Trust
- WWF
