Patient and engaging tutor with a strong Maths, Physics and Engineering background with a passion for STEM subjects. I am a private tutor who has tutored over 50 students in 4 years across various tutoring platforms with a combined teaching time of over 600 hours.

I am a Master's graduate (MSc) from Imperial College London (Grade Distinction in Advanced Aeronautical Engineering). I also have a BEng degree (Grade First class hons in Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Nottingham. I also have industry experience in the aerospace industry having been a graduate structures engineer at Airbus.

As well as in person tutoring, I do also offer lessons online using Teams Sharescreen with my Ipad tablet which allows me to write on the screen allowing the student to see my writings and annotations. The student only requires a laptop or tablet for online lessons.

In addition to helping with tutoring core subjects, I can provide strong advice for the pathway to universities and the application process.

My passion for STEM is reflected by my role as a STEM ambassador both at University and now at Airbus. I have organised STEM workshop visits as well as careers fairs into local schools to promote engineering and the importance of STEM to pupils.

I was awarded winner of the UK university STEM awards in 2018 for the defence category run by BAE Systems. other achievements include securing a summer internship at Rolls-Royce in 2017 in the civil aerospace department and serving as president of the 'Engineers without Borders' society at univeristy, the aim of the organisation was to promote green energy technologies as well as organising trips abroad to aid in work to improve local peoples lives. I took part in a trip to Ghana in 2016.

I also hold a Gold Duke of Edinburgh award.

I have found tutoring incredibly fulfilling and a real pleasure. You can count on me to try my best in helping any student, no matter the ability to understand any concept.

Tutoring Experience

I am a part time private tutor and have tutored over 50 students in 4 years across tutoring platforms with a combined teaching time of over 600 hours.

I regularly helped tutor my peers during univeristy to help them understand complex concepts. I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students. I have the advantage of being fresh through the curriculum and understanding the key concepts that students need to grasp in order to succeed.

Tutoring Approach

I am a very patient and engaging tutor who students enjoy learning from. My approach is to learn through doing. I think it is incredibly important to teach someone a particular concept and then cement that knowledge by doing questions which are similar to exam questions. This approach is by far the most efficient in my opinion and has served me well through my academic studies. Making mistakes while attempting to answer difficult questions is perfectly fine to me as I believe this is when your brain is most likely to learn. For me, not making mistakes shows you are not challenging your self enough.
