I am an English Teacher who has worked in the secondary environment for 20 years. I live in Westcliff on Sea and have taught in the Essex area.

Tutoring Experience

I have 20 years experience teaching English to all age groups at secondary school level; I have taught and teach English GCSE (Language GCSE & Literature GCSE ), A Level (Literature and Language & Literature), Media Studies (GCSE and A Level). I have held a position of Head of Department for 12 years and I am currently Head of English, and I've have also held an Assistant Head position.

Tutoring Approach

Tutoring is very much a personalised experience which is driven by a strong relationship between the Tutor, tutee, parents and school. I tend to work on a weekly appointment, for an hour session. I intend to support and guide so students can achieve their potential, using my knowledge of exams and exam skills, having access to the most up-to-date resources.
