Tutoring Experience
Qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher, with more than six years experience teaching in schools. I have been a full time private tutor since April 2019. Most of my class teacher experience is within upper Key Stage 2, supporting children through their SATs and the transition between primary and secondary school. As a tutor, I work with home educated children as well as providing additional support to those attending school. I work with children age 5-11. I have experience working with children with a variety of SEND and supporting children who require alternative provision.
Tutoring Approach
I am a passionate and qualified Primary practitioner. I can quickly assess what your child needs, in order to develop custom built sessions which will enable them to progress and most importantly build confidence, instilling a lifelong love for learning. I believe that learning should be a fun experience and that every child deserves to have an education suited to their needs, supporting and challenging them as appropriate.
As a full-time tutor, I have made the decision that all before (7:15-8:15am) and after-school tuition (3:30pm onwards) will remain online for the foreseeable. I have found online learning to be highly effective and using specialist software enables me to ensure that sessions are interactive, effective and fun. During the school day, I will continue to offer both face-to-face and online tuition.
