Amra

I am Amra and I hold a Bsc honours degree in Mathematics and Economics. I achieved all A*-A grades at both GCSE and A level. Maths has always been my passion and as it is a core subject, I believe it is vital that students are thoroughly confident with the basic fundamental concepts before we can build on this knowledge and develop higher order skills. I feel a great sense of pride in being able to help my students succeed.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Mathematics, GCSE Level Physics, Law, Accounting, Further Mathematics, Economics, 11+ maths and non-verbal, 6th Form entrance exams and much more.

I have been teaching for over 4 years and have helped my students achieve outstanding results. I specialise in teaching Maths, especially 11 plus, GCSE and A levels.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in establishing a good relationship with the children I teach. Gaining a good understanding of their needs allows me to mentor and guide them to build a strong foundation. I consider my self an "enabler" for children and leverage from combination of my personal experiences and learning to allow them to achieve their full potential. No child is the same and the teaching style needs to be agile and adaptive to accommodate the different needs of children. A number of children who came to me with average grades have thrived under my guidance.

I believe every student can do well given the right guidance and focus; I am always willing to go the extra mile to help my students excel. I work extremely hard and expect the same from my students as well, in order for optimum progress to be made. I enjoy creating lessons that are engaging and challenging so that my students enjoy their learning.
