I am an enthusiastic and motivational Mathematics tutor with 9 years’ experience of teaching the subject. Having obtained a PhD in Mathematics I possess a great and deep understanding of the subject, and this combined with my passion for teaching makes me an extremely effective private tutor.
I can tutor students at any level ranging from Primary to Post-graduate but my main experience lies within teaching students from GCSE, A-Level and Undergraduate levels. I have worked as a tutor for a private school, delivering both one-to-one and group level lessons for GCSE and all A-Level modules across a range of exam boards. I have worked at the University of Birmingham, helping undergraduate students with a range of modules as well as tutoring privately from home. I am also an examiner for one of the main exam boards in the UK.
My teaching methods are unique and successful. I always put the student first and adhere to their needs. I like to focus on areas where the student is struggling and only move on once they are confident that they fully understand what they previously struggled with. I like to ensure that students have covered all aspects of the syllabus and I like to regularly test them with examination style questions and past exam papers to ensure their memory is refreshed regularly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
